Pioneering Surfer / WatermanLaird Hamilton is regarded as the world’s greatest big wave surfer of all time. Laird helped create the watersport of “tow-in surfing” which enables him to catch, ride and conquer waves reaching heights of 70 ft (21m). Laird is also credited with inventing the “foilboard” and was a pioneer in popularizing kitesurfing.
