Hi everyone,

As we close out the year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my journey and share some highlights from the past few months. It’s been a transformative time for me, filled with challenges, milestones, and renewed focus.

Finding My Why

After my last competition in June 2024, I decided to take two months to step back, reevaluate my training, and reconnect with my “why” for racing. Those months were invaluable, giving me clarity and a renewed sense of purpose.

By September, I knew I wanted to return to racing. My goal? To break my own American Record and compete in events I rarely get the chance to swim as a Para athlete.

The Journey to November

Every single day, I put in the effort to achieve my goals. For me, it’s all about the Mindset, Menu, and Movement—the three pillars that drive my training and help me stay focused.

On November 23rd, at the same meet where I broke the American Record two years ago, I shattered it again—this time by two full seconds! I also swam my fastest 100 IM and achieved an incredible time in the 400 free.

The next day, I kicked off a new strength training program to prepare for the Para National Championships. I’m feeling stronger and more determined than ever, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.

The Para National Championships are complete and I did very well.  2nd SB9 Classification in 200 & 100 BR.  4th and 5th WPS Points in those events.

Music: The Unsung Hero of My Training

Throughout this journey, music has been a constant source of motivation. Whether I’m in the pool or hitting the gym, having the right playlist keeps me focused and energized. It’s amazing how something as simple as music can make such a big difference.

What’s Next?

The Para National Championships are just around the corner, and I’m excited to see how this new phase of training translates to my performance. Stay tuned for my results—I promise it’ll be worth the wait!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, and to H2O Audio for making training sessions in the pool even more enjoyable.

Here’s to breaking more records and embracing every challenge that comes my way.

Happy New Year!
