Mother’s Day is more than a celebration—it’s a reminder of the power, resilience, and love that moms bring into everything they do. From pool lanes to playgrounds, training sessions to team huddles, the moms in our H2O Audio community continue to Go Beyond—showing up, pushing limits, and inspiring everyone around them.

In this second installment of our Go Beyond Mom series, we’re honored to highlight more amazing women who prove that strength isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present. Whether they’re logging early-morning miles, coaching future athletes, or simply stealing a moment for a solo workout, these moms embody balance, commitment, and heart.

Meet the next round of H2O Audio moms redefining what it means to train, lead, and live with purpose.

Meet Natalie Mitchell

15x Marathoner, Run Coach, Race Announcer & Podcaster

“Motherhood is the feeling of walking around with your heart outside of your body at all times.”

Being a mom in this season of life has a different feel than when my kids were babies and toddlers. It was for sure challenging then, but now as teens and pre-teens (my kids are 12, 14 and 18) they are navigating their own individual busy lives and I’m standing in the middle, turning in three directions not only as their mom but also a guide, teacher, coach, emotional counselor, master chef, Uber driver and sports psychologist.

I have my run coaching business for adults, I assistant coach XC and track at their school as well as announce for races on the weekends. Many times I have to stop and be very intentional about my needs—specifically my training and goals. I am definitely the mom who hasn’t given up her athletic journey for my kids, but rather I am training alongside the parenting piece.

I encourage moms not to lose yourself in the motherhood journey—our kids need to see us walking the walk and pursuing our own dreams. I really believe it helps them find their own personal greatness. It also gives them the opportunity to see me fail sometimes and yet I get up and keep on going.

When I need to get away on a training run, I grab my H2O Audio headphones, listen to my curated playlist or a podcast to help the miles fly by. Then I come back refreshed and ready to cook more food for my always hungry kid athletes.

Moms make the world a better place and I raise my glass to every mother out there. We’ve got this!

Meet Raquel Faires

Coach, Personal Trainer, DEKA Elite Athlete

I was a competitive athlete for most of my life prior to having children. Some of my fellow training partners and competitors were mothers, and at the time, I did not fully understand how much more went into them showing up for training sessions and competitions. Now that I am a mother of three (5, 7 & 12), and still a competitive athlete, I have a newfound appreciation for those women. It takes exponentially more energy just to show up! The physical and mental balance that is required to perform at your best is overwhelming at times, but I would not have it any other way.

My children have seen me compete in 5Ks and DEKA events, and they see me [daily] training in our basement, garage or at my job. It is important to me that they understand what having a commitment means, and that they see me follow through on said commitment.

Sport has given me a lot over the past 30+ years. It used to be all about becoming faster and stronger—do not get me wrong, it is still about this, but it is more about setting a positive example, living a healthy lifestyle and exploring the limits of the [female] human body!

Thanks to H2O Audio’s support, I can enjoy podcasts, stretch sessions and early morning trainings with my RIPT Lite ear buds, which have a nice noise canceling feature. I also highly recommend the RIPT Ultra headphones on road trips. Sometimes you just have to block out the kid noises!

As we wrap up Part 2, we’re reminded that every mother’s journey looks different—but the drive to Go Beyond is what connects them all.

These women train not just for personal goals, but to show their kids, teams, and communities what strength truly looks like.

Don’t wait until the last minute—Mother’s Day is May 11th. The best gifts are the ones that move with her. From waterproof headphones to sweatproof sound, H2O Audio products are made to match her pace—whatever it may be.
